The Machine Tool Institute is a Technological Innovation Centre servicing Industry and the community, through technical training and technological diffusion.

The first steps were taken in 1986 as a group project of professionals in training, who after receiving support from institutions and companies in the Basque Country, set up the Foundation for Technical Training in Machine Tools. The headquarters of the IMH was inaugurated in 1991.

Centro de Formación Somorrostro is an integrated education center created in 1947 and provides secondary education, 3 levels of Vocational Education and Training -initial, intermediate, and higher VET-, and continuous VET. The center offers a wide range of qualifications in the following fields: Machining; Mechanical manufacturing;Industrial maintenance, repair and operations; Automotive maintenance; Electricity and Electronics; Information Technology; Safety and environment; Construction and civil engineering; Social services-care; Management and Marketing.

University Politehnica of Bucharest is the largest Technical University in Romania greatly contributing to the development of Higher Education in the country. It has a vast range of expertise in fostering innovation and creativity in Technical Engineering, these concepts being taught to students for several years. The academic and technical staffs of one of its research and innovation center UPB-CAMIS, has experience in modern and innovative engineering technologies within the Faculty of Engineering and Management of Technological Systems (EMTS).

Gestamp Louny (LOUNY) is a production company in the manufacturing of automotive parts for the automotive industry developing
technologies for Cold and Hot stamping and welding mainly. Louny employs around 470 persons with an expansion until the end of 2017 until 500 employees.

 
Its specific interest in the project relies on the needs of specialised engineering profile staff and the lack of profiles in the country.
